Afghanistan has a century old tradition in furniture marketing, wood carving, leather work, sewing, embroidery and jewelery and other quality handicrafts. Afghan design is unique and respective knowledge is given from mother to daughter and father to son. Handicraft companies are currently making great efforts to develop new designs, thereby blending age-old Afghan traditions with international fashion and demand.
