PROFESSION
Jagat Shah is cluster development practitioner &  an International Trade Management Consultant; Practicing in the field of cluster development & International Trade (Exports). He has been involved  in cluster development for last 10 years & in international marketing for last 20 years, first in an American multinational company & then in a multinational Chinese Trading Company. He has traveled to 56 countries on marketing trips. He is now a social entrepreneur.

EDUCATION
He has a bachelor's degree in Commerce from Delhi University and Master's degree in Management (MBA), specialising in the subject of International Marketing.. He holds a Diploma in Diamond Technology from I D I. He has been trained by UNIDO on Cluster development implementation.

EXPERIENCE
20 years of Industry, consulting, clustering & training experience with 56 countries, working with Cultural Diversity (72 nationalities). Last line assignment was as Country Director - Indonesia with a Chinese trading Co. based in Beijing with branches in Taipei & Jakarta.

Cluster Pulse takes 6-8 trade & investment delegations out of Indian clusters every year & hosts delegations from foreign country clusters to India for organising one to one business meetings. Till date Cluster Pulse / Global Network has organised 79 professionally planned trade & investment delegations abroad. Hosted 21 delegations from abroad to India . Led delegations from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Canada & China to Europe : Third country, multi country trade delegations..

He is a visiting faculty (on International Marketing) in MBA colleges in India,China, Switzerland, Canada & Brazil. He has conducted 232 seminars on international marketing
(14100+ companies participated).

He runs a 3 month practical course on "International Trade Management". 1500+ business persons have passed from 80 batches conducted since 1998. 350+ students are based abroad.

CLIENTELE
His clientele includes many of the "top" corporates & SME's of India, Canada, USA , Brazil , China, South Africa, Croatia, Oman & a few other countries and covers the range from Textile products to agro products and engineering products to consumer goods, BDS services to ICT services.

He was retained by The Textiles Committee, Ministry Of Textiles, Government Of India for international market linkages in 20 textile clusters in India from 2003-2005 to trnsit the textile SME’s from quota regime to non-quota regime.

Global Network has worked as a management consultant & event manager to business delegations for Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC), Ministry Of Textiles, Govt. Of India to Canada & South Africa . And to Silk Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. Of India to Europe.
